Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Satara (YSPM) education trust was established in
2009, under the efficient and vibrant leadership of Founder President, Hon.
Prof. Dasharath Sagare. YTC, Satara has been founded mainly by teachers who
feel and believe that value-based quality education is the key to success. The
educational programmes offered cover a wide spectrum of professional
opportunities in various fields of Engineering and Technology. During the last
two years YTC, Satara has developed into an Institute of international
standards and repute. YTC, Satara is constantly engaged in inspiring and
motivating thousands of students to develop A Winner's Attitude by making them
'Physically strong, mentally alert, intellectually sharp and spiritually
elevated'.
Faculty of pharmacy has a spacious building with built up area of 4500 sq.m and have adequate number of classrooms, tutorial rooms and laboratories for smooth running of D. Pharm, B. Pharm. and M. pharm. courses. The laboratories include Pharmaceutics lab, Pharmaceutical Chemistry lab, Pharmacognosy lab, Anatomy Physiology & Health Education lab, Biotechnology and Microbiology lab, Pharmacology lab, Pharmaceutical Analysis lab, PG Research lab etc. The laboratories are modernized and well equipped to cater the practical training requirements of pharmacy courses. The laboratories house many sophisticated instruments like UV visible spectrophotometer, HPLC system, Rheometer, Brookfield Viscometer, Six Stage Dissolution Apparatus, Stability Chamber, K. F. Apparatus, Refrigerated centriguge, Microcentrifuge etc. The classrooms are well-ventilated and spacious equipped with appropriate teaching aids. Special coaching sessions are conducted in the tutorial rooms. The medicinal plant garden has various species of medicinal plants. The museum displays various allopathic and ayurvedic dosage forms and formulations in pharmacy field along with information about career opportunities after pharmacy course, novel drug delivery system, medical devices, modern analytical techniques etc. The college also consists of a seminar hall for conduction of workshops, seminars, guest lectures and various cultural activities. The computer lab has internet facility with bandwidth of 12 Mbps.

Facilities:
Along with boys and girls hostel, YTC provides bus as well as canteen facility. College also has a Central Library and e-Library. The Central Library consists of adequate books and volumes along with various national and international journals. In order to strengthen the vocabulary, individual coaching is provided to the students in the Language Lab. Taking into consideration the interest of the students towards sports, college also fulfills the indoor and outdoor sports necessities including a 'Gym'.

Training & Placement cell is playing a vital role in imparting the knowledge and interaction of students with various well known personalities from academia and industries through guest lectures, seminars and workshops. The cell has organized various guest lectures, seminars and workshops for the students in this academic year.

College arranges number of workshops and seminars for the awareness and academic growth of the students along with their overall development during the academic session. Industrial visits as a part of industry-institute interaction play a vital role in giving exposure to the students enrolled for professional and industry oriented programs in institution. Keeping in view this aspect, campus organizes industrial visit for the students every year. The college organizes annual event like “Yashoda Pharmafest”-A state level poster presentation competition- where students of different pharmacy colleges in Maharashtra State participate (For details refer section 'Yashoda Pharmafest 2013' on sidebar). This event encourages students to realize their potential and share their knowledge with the students of other colleges. They also help students to explore different facets of pharmaceutical technology.
